Any Congressman may make a motion of impeachment against another Congressman, subject to the approval of the Prince.
If a motion is tabled to this effect, an impeachment trial will be heard wherein the Congressman challenging shall be required to provide a reason as to why the impeachment in question is necessary. The Congressman being impeached shall have an opportunity to defend themselves.
If the Congress - excluding either the person challenging or the Congressman being challenged - with a two-thirds supermajority uphold the challenge, the Congressman shall be impeached and shall lose their seat in perpetuity. They may not run again in future election cycles except in cases where the Prince or the Congress at large has chosen to pardon the person in question.
If a Congressman is impeached, the Congress must hold an emergency by-election to refill the seat.
Any Congressman may motion a vote of no confidence in another Congressman. This shall be considered to be a vote over the Congress' confidence in the continued ability of the Congressman to carry out their role sufficiently.
If a vote of no confidence is tabled, the Congressman to whom the vote refers shall have an opportunity to defend themselves.
If the Congress - excluding either the person challenging or the Congressman being challenged - with a two-thirds supermajority vote against the Congressman being challenged, the Congressman shall lose their seat. This does not debar them from running again in future election cycles.
If a Congressman is removed in this way, the Congress must hold an emergency by-election to refill the seat.

Congress members are elected by the general population of Noland. Any impeachment should be done by the supreme court, as it is their job to deal with justice. It would not be good for the Congress to be fighting amoung themselves like rabid dogs over food. We do not want to do something that is as folly as that which will cause backstabbing and vendettas.

Instead let them decide whether to ask the Supreme Court to vote on it.

Amendment: Any Congress member except the Prince may be impeached or held to a vote of no confidence.
Otherwise that would go in violation of the law that states "The Prince is always in Congress".

However, I do have a question, how will a pardon be given to an impeached congressman? And Lord Daniel is right: the supreme court should do the impeaching.

For now, the Supreme Court is under reconstruction.

I believe that you cannot pardon an impeached Congressman, but a Congressman that was removed from office after a vote of no confidence may still be elected in future elections.

I agree with Daniel. The whole Congress should be involved, and know about the case, instead of two people deciding (the accuser, and the prince). Everyone should have a say in impeachment, as it is has a big impact in Noland.

I vote that we give this to The Supreme Court. Yes, they are under reconstruction, but who wants to kick anyone out of the congress? Also, that can be used to upset the balance of votes in the election, say you were voting for an amendment, and there was one person holding back. They could then vote to have that person kicked out, and wham! Suddenly enough votes to amend! I stand with my earlier statements about not trying to breed fighting amoungst our ranks. Please, try and debate me. However, as Secretary of the DoD I must advise you, this is a bad idea.

Pardoning has nothing to do with that. The court should handle it all.

You raise an excellent point. I'm happy with amending it to the Supreme Court rather than the Congress, though Congressmen should be able to petition the Court to remove people from office.

When exactly does the vote end? Though we only have six votes, will we get more?
