Hello, I've made the decision to turn Noland from a monarchic-democratic state into a complete democracy. I'm working on a Constitution. I will no longer be Prince, instead all powers formerly belonging to me will be held by a Prime Minister. In addition, all seats in the Congress will have specific roles assigned to them, like a Cabinet. I also feel that Noland needs a new name so please put ideas down on this thread for me to decide on what our new nation will be called. Please comment on the Constitution and if there's anything that you think needs to be added, please don't hesitate to tell me. Thanks.

An interesting proposal, but might I suggest that the official name of the country being the Republic of the Congressional Cabinet is rather bland? I'd suggest sticking to your historic identity more explicitly and making the official name something like "The Nolandian Republic". Such a name sounds more like a country that has culture than the ominously-bureaucratic, and arguably uninspiring, sounding "Republic of the Congressional Cabinet".

I've explained this on the Ragged Flagon- This is a placeholder name, I'm open to other name suggestions and I'm horrible at naming countries and the likes.

Glad to hear it's just a placeholder. After 15 years in micronationalism, I've learned that you can never be quite sure because there have been some odd names!
I can understand your desire for a new name for the country, but Noland doesn't have a negative connotation with it, so it should be preserved in my opinion.

Eh... Noland isn't the best name I think. It works, but some people in the community are starting to disapprove of my name more and more as I gain more influence because of its similarity to Nolland.

Well, in my opinion, "Noland" is pretty original. And Nolland is prounounced quite differently than noland, right?

I have read the Constitution. While it could be expanded, it is very good as it is.

I agree. I'm still working on it but please let me know if you want a change to be made to the structure of the Cabinet.

Don't laugh at this, but I made up this totally random name, Democracy of Falconcliff.

It would have to be Republic of Falconcliff. And that's actually not a completely terrible name.

Falconcliff is actually a pretty decent name, certainly original.

How about The Peoples Democratic Republic of Falconcliff?

Well, that isn't what this country is. That implies heavily that there are Communistic overtones to the country, which I don't think is the sort of thing we're going for.

Was designed more as joke anyway. However, Calling it a "peoples" state technically only reinforces the fact that it is controlled by the people, although communist states used this in an ironic fashion.

I'm not so sure you could argue that it was used "ironically", many Communist regimes genuinely believed that their regimes were dictatorships of the people. Regardless, it gives this nation the wrong connotations, and I don't know whether present company would like to have said connotations attached to our country.
