Please vote for two candidates. The two candidates with the most votes by the end of the day on May 3. Please, only vote if you're a citizen. If you're not a citizen and you vote, I will ban you without hesitation. Please don't provoke the wrath of the admin.

So these primaries are run by the government rather than by parties? It stands to reason that it'd be in a party's best interest to pick a single candidate to get behind to maximise their chance of winning this primary, which essentially puts you back in the same position. And at the moment at least, it's looking like the general election will be between two candidates of the same party, making things a bit awkward.

When I made this, there was one party in Noland so it would have otherwise been one candidate that won against a billion independents and that wouldn't help the majority party at all.

This poll has been locked. However, following critisism from Mr. Eden, the election system will be changed. Instead of this in the future, we'll have a run-off election in which parties can only nominate one candidate. However, the rest of the PM elections will continue as scheduled. Congratulations to Mr. Eden, Mr. Schutz (and me) for advancing to the next and final round in which a candidate will need to obtain a majority in order to win.

Objection. You claimed the poll was open until the end of today. Re-opening poll.

Sorry, I put it to automatically lock on May 3 at 12 am (the automatic time) and I always get 12 am and pm mixed up. You're right.

Ok. Fine by me. Just want to make sure people get their votes in for sure, we don't want disorganized people complaining after the fact.
